Amber Hornsoej is an artist that focuses on our primitive side as human beings.
She has drawn sketches since she was 12 years old and round the age of 18, she started painting with acrylics on canvas. She is still making sketches, writing poems and making paintings. Her paintings are often a combination of acrylics and other materials such as feathers and gold leaf and spray.
Amber has been raised with art, since she could remember. She found piece and salvation in making art and that became her preferred way of expressing herself.
Amber says: “In my opinion art is not something that just exists - it's here to guide us, help us and to make our minds open. I am personally using art to express my emotions, aggressive as well as loving. I paint in the present when an emotion appears.
WE ARE ALL PRIMITIVE…
Amber focusses on the thought of we are all still primitive human beings. She has always been drawn to nature and has a strong need of feeling free. She says: ”We are all primitive arises from the fact that we are all still just humans. Even though we live in a high technology world, it is important to remember our primitive side, and remember were we all come from. And with that knowledge we are getting more enlightened.
