"Watercolour has many expressions.
As a travel sketch, as a coloring of a drawing.
Watercolor as a modern expression in its own right differs from this, but also from other painterly expressions such as oil and acrylic.
For the watercolour painter, the properties and expression of the different pigments play a special role. Not just as a colour.
Watercolours can be more or less transparent, even or uneven to work with. Or they can be pigment-precipitating (coarse or fine in the granulation) and be "edge biters", i.e. certain colours form a clear pigment edge during the drying process.

It is a source of endless inspiration to get to know these qualities, especially in combination with each other.
In the watercolor pigments' encounter with a lot of water, unpredictable expressions are often formed. Therefore, a picture painted in watercolor can arise completely outside of the planning and the idea you may have had from the beginning.
