Dante Galic exhibits in Otterup Rifle Factory

Galleri Nijenkamp has the pleasure of inviting you to a unique exhibition with the young and up-and-coming artist, Dante Galic, in Otterup Rifle Factory. Despite being only 28 years old, Dante has already made his mark as one of Denmark's most talented artists, with works that have become part of some of the country's most renowned art collections.

Dante's artistic expression draws threads to Goya, while uniting elements of surrealism with a clear fascination with comics. As a pioneer in sustainable art production, Dante is among the first in the world to "go green" in all aspects of his work. He mixes his own pigments, uses organic linen and hemp canvas, and uses recycled paper for his watercolors. The wood for tensioning comes from sustainable European sources, and some of the frames are even upcycled from boat wood from Indonesia.

The exhibition, "A Child's Dream", explores the theme: What did we dream of as children? What worlds did we imagine, and who did we want to become? Dante's works capture the essence of childhood dreams, combining the neogrotesque with the whimsical, inspired by comics, films, and the artist's own experiences and pilgrimages.

Director Per Olesen from North Funen Business and Tourism is enthusiastic:
"North Funen is a perfect place for children and their families when you are going on holiday or an extended weekend. Therefore, I thought it was quite obvious to support the exhibition "A Child's Dream", where we adults can be inspired about childhood dreams. The enthusiasm was not diminished by the fact that it is Funen's Dante Galic as an artist. A rising star with very colorful art, who will do well in the authentic raw expression of the Rifle Factory."
