Lina Murel Jardorf

I am my art, for over 30 years

"I create works that I am sure will give the viewer a great experience - I contact my innermost self when I work with my art, I am my art." says Lina, who was given a task by Sjælsø Gruppen, for whom she had to create 7 several meter high sculptures, each of which had to represent an emotion.

"When I created "Love", I walked around bubbling with love and with butterflies in my stomach like when you are in love, but when I came to "Sorrow" I became completely unhappy and thought about my husband's violent death from ALS, got a little chat with him, and that was the whole process in "The 7 Emotions", and in general in my art.

I do my best and draw on some great innate powers when I create my works, every one of my works is unique and created by me, I take part in the casting, patina myself and grind and polish with my 2 people who are casters and grinds.

I am so lucky that I can follow my sculptures from start to finish, because I have my own bronze foundry, and thus no climate footprint from transport, and beautiful Æbleblomst farm with the fairy-tale elf-like studio.

Lina's work are especially popular among companies, to adorn their premises or give to their employees.

”All members in our art association are special, and in 2008 we wanted to give them a christmas present that celebrated both the individualism and the community of our group. Linas art has a wonderful way of getting people together, while still focusing on the single individual, and we chose her to make a unique sculpture for each of our 1200 members.
Before giving them away, we exhibited them all together on a big glass table in Pakhus 12 in Copenhagen. The bronze women became a big piece of art in itself, a large scale installation full of joy, strength and hope.”
Thomas Christiansen
Chairman of The Novo Group Art Association.

Statement from art critic Ole Lindgren

"For more than 30 years, Lina Murel Jardorf has understood how to touch, unite and talk to people through her soulful works, because Lina wants to deliver art that tells people something. She doesn't wear a mask when she works. Lina is her art! "

Statement from art collector-reviewer and curator Jens-Peter Brask

"Bronze can do something that other media cannot: where a painting is flat, sculptures are three-dimensional and very alive. The process is demanding, and from the sketch to the final result there are many steps. Bronze has been used for hundreds of years, and it will I never tire of. That's why I visited and photographed the artist Lina Murel Jardorf, who masters this process of creation with a sure hand. Lina Murel Jardorf works magic when she models and makes it look playfully easy to create bronze sculptures. Bronze is a difficult medium, and this book (A Heart of Bronze) takes you through all phases and illuminates the enormous work that lies behind a work"

The woman behind the art

"My journey as an artist started early, a path paved with challenges and triumphs. As a child, I expressed myself through drawing, an escape from a world where words sometimes failed me. This early passion for visual storytelling grew and evolved into what I now share with the world: my oil paintings and bronze figures. Every sculpture and every painting is a part of my soul, a piece of my story.

I invite you to explore my collection of bronze figurines. Feel the power and passion that has created each piece. And remember, when you choose a piece of my art, you don't just become the owner of a piece of art; you become part of a story, a journey, a feeling." – Lina

The Creation of Bronze Figures

"Bronze art is a unique form of expression. My bronze figures are not just sculptures; They are the result of a love process that begins in a simple line drawing and ends as a living expression in bronze. Each figure undergoes a transformation through my hands, at least nine times, before it is completed - a testament to dedication and passion. In my work with bronze sculptures, I focus on every detail, from the initial sketch to the final casting. This process is a journey of transformation, where hot wax becomes expressive figures, and 1200 degrees hot bronze brings my visions to life. Each sculpture goes through several stages in my hands until they emerge as timeless expressions of beauty and artistic finesse." - Lina
