Karin Bøggild (b. 1968) is a Danish self-taught visual artist focusing on the abstract painting.

Words like Minimalist - Raw - Industrial are the key words of Karin's works.
At first glance, the works may seem simple – but they are anything but!

The expression in Karin's works only comes when the precise magic occurs between her materials and technique, and precisely all the layers, the complexity of the works must be experienced in person, where the viewer can get up close and observe the works.

The idea behind the expression

"I seek to create paintings with a focus on aesthetics, minimalism and a raw expression.
My passion is to integrate design, architecture, interiors and thereby create a common language through my paintings.
I strive for a powerful expression that does not make noise or take over a room - but becomes part of the home with a timeless expression.
I work primarily with large canvases, as I am attracted by the voluminous and - for me, breathtaking expression that a large painting has.
My media is a mixture between spartel, brush and drip paint technique, with the use of acrylic paint, charcoal and ink." - Karin Bøggild.
